When Thomas P. Clausen was born on April 29, 1852, in Dargun, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, his mother, Ms. Christina, was 26. He immigrated to the US in 1880 and married Anna Peterson in 1888. They had 11 children in 28 years. He died on March 24, 1928, in Racine, Wisconsin, at the age of 75, and was buried in Waterford, Wisconsin.
