Anna C. Peterson was born on October 2, 1863, in Dargun, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, the daughter of Maria and Hans. Her family immigrated to the US in 1887. She married Thomas P. Clausen on December 21, 1888, in Racine, Wisconsin. They had 11 children in 19 years. She died on November 16, 1950, in Wisconsin at the age of 87, and was buried in Waterford, Wisconsin.
